When living in
North-Western Ontario, one has to be very creative to
survive the financial climate in a competitive business
environment. Their are many challenges to face and
success
depends on skills possessed by your crew
and the equipment on hand to perform the job
quickly and cost effectively. Our
crew is made up of people who have been in the trucking
business for years. Not only did these people
drive them but they repaired and maintained them also.
Best Towing's crew is a very integral and valuable asset
to our business. The knowledge and
experience that they bring to Best Towing allows us the
opportunity to serve your needs with the confidence that
we can not only do it we can do it right. Although
our equipment is not fresh out of the assembly plant it
is well maintained, handled by experts and designed to
handle the work, this enables us to transfer the savings to you. You do not
want to hear about our
breakdowns in your time of need, therefore we keep our
fleet in excellent working condition.

Kevin Hurd
kevin@besttowing.ca (cell phone (807) 887-4300)
Kevin is our chief in command. He manages
Best Towing and oversees all recoveries. He comes
highly qualified and has trained in many different jobs
pertaining to the trucking industry. If you rig is
off the road and stuck Kevin is the man that can get you
out quickly and efficiently. Kevin also keeps
himself busy at constantly looking for equipment that
will suite our business needs to help us help you better.
Bill Hurd (cell phone (807) 887-4623)
Bill is Kevin's right hand man. He has
been an owner operator in the trucking business for
years. When we say owner operator not only does
one have to know how to keep these rigs out of the
ditches but one has to repair them also. Bill has
also been a heavy equipment operator running anything
from skidders, loaders, and graders. Bill has a
great deal of knowledge when it comes to towing and he
is now embarked on completing Wreck Master Towing
courses.
Allan Hurd
Allan is a contract worker with us and like his
brothers has been around and driving eighteen wheelers
and heavy equipment.
Mike Hurd
Mike is the youngest of the Hurd brothers and
holds a part-time position with us. He not only
has towing experience but he is also skilled in body
repair and mechanics.
We also have
several hard other working people on stand-by should we
need them for load transfers and traffic control.
The woman behind
the men (cell phone (807) 887-4301)
Joyce Tinsley is the
owner of Best Towing. Her job is to ensure that
the business is operated in a professional manner.
Joyce feels that being a female owner in a male
dominated business, things must be be done ten times better to be
considered equal. Fortunately it isn't hard, with the Hurd boys
on her team. The vast wilderness and winding
treacherous roads of North-Western Ontario inspired
Joyce to answer to the need of an efficient towing
company that would take the challenges head on, be
profitable, and offer a service to be topped by none.
She has acquired equipment that is fit to do the job.
She also, attends Tow shows to gain more knowledge of
new methods relating to towing and recoveries.

Kevin has done a good job in building up our fleet
of towing vehicles. Our equipment is well maintained and fitted to take on even the
worst of jobs. Kevin states "Our equipment can
handle the big as well as the small challenges; there is
not a wreck that we cannot recover" and that pretty well
says it all. Using this type of equipment keeps
our overhead low and we can pass these saving on to your
our customers.
